Ann has worked as an operating room and neonatal intensive care nurse for many years before pursuing a career with animals, which has always been her passion. Her initial interest in canine massage began when her whippet, Chelsea, was recuperating from major surgery for a leg injury. Massage proved to be very helpful in her rehabilitation, and this motivated Ann to realize her dream of working with animals.
Her 20+ years of expertise includes canine massage, cold laser therapy, veterinary orthopedic manipulation (VOM), Reiki, Bach Flower Essences, Homeopathy, Essential Oils, nutritional & wellness guidance, and puppy ownership 101 consultations.
Ann works mostly with dogs and cats, but she also works with other animals too. Listed below are some of the conditions she can help:
-Older, debilitated animals
-All joint issues: Arthritis, back issues, hip dysplasia, luxating patella, etc
-Animals recovering from injuries and/or surgeries
-Wound healing (expedited healing with laser therapy)

-Emotional issues: transitioning from a shelter/rescue to a new forever home, grief,
separation anxiety, sibling rivalry, fears
-Performance dogs (agility, fly ball, etc) - for peak performance in their sport
-Nutritional and “wellness care” guidance
Ann is a graduate of The Lang Institute for Canine Massage, where she studied canine anatomy, physiology, orthopedic pathology, gait and movement, massage techniques, and nutrition. She has also attended The Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine for specialized training in Tui-na, is certified in Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation (VOM) and is a Reiki Master. In addition, Ann has years of experience using both cold and thermal lasers, dating back to her nursing days.
She has been a guest speaker at Rancho Coastal Humane Society and the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA. She has also been featured in the San Diego Reader, on signonsandiego.com, Channel 10 News and on San Diego Living.
