E.O. Raindrop Technique
Raindrop technique was developed by Dr Gary Young, N.D. and later adapted for animals by Melissa Shelton, DVM. The technique utilizes therapeutic grade essential oils along with feather stroking massage and VitaFlex manipulation to restore balance to the body.
Only 100% therapeutic grade oils deemed safe for dietary use/oral consumption should be used. Young Living Oils and DoTerra oils are both excellent reputable choices. These oils are carefully cultivated from seed to distillation. They are steam distilled (with the exception of the citrus fruits) which are only expressed under pressure. Their purity has been certified by gas chromatography or mass spectrophotometry. Inferior oils may be extracted with solvents or diluted with other potentially toxic oils such as castor oil or synthetic fragrance oils, and should be avoided at all costs.
In the Raindrop technique, the practitioner applies small drops of the essential oils along the spine from about 6 inches above the spine. It is theorized that the oils interact with the animal’s electromagnetic field before even penetrating the skin, thereby enhancing the electromagnetic properties of the oils as well. The oils, which are applied in a specific order, are gently massaged, or feather stroked, into the spine, which stimulates energetic impulses throughout the nervous system. The unique structure of the animal’s hair follicles promotes rapid absorption, and the specific order of the oils stimulates the immune system, eliminates bacteria, viruses and fungi, reduces inflammation, and improves circulation and lymphatic drainage.
Emotional release techniques can be used in conjunction with the Raindrop technique to promote mental, emotional and physical balance. Once all the desired oils are applied, the practitioner performs the Vita Flex technique, which was developed in Tibet thousands of years ago. It literally means “vitality through the reflexes”. A gentle, rolling motion of the finger pads, tips and nails simulates electrical energy like that of a circuit. The electrical energy that is produced during the technique transfers to the nerve pathways. Once the energy finds a gap in the circuit, it repairs the break in the pathway that is creating the imbalance in the body.
There are numerous benefits of the Raindrop Technique. Here are just a few, as reported by holistic vets:
In cats:
-Addresses emotional and physical wellbeing of the cat;
-Pain management including arthritis, inflammation and injury recovery;
-Allergies and respiratory infections;
-Feline lymphosarcoma, cat cancer and tumors;
-Prevention and amelioration of urinary tract infections and autoimmune disease;
-Detoxification after anesthesia and surgery;
-Releases toxins and boosts the immune system;
-Aids in the treatment of feline diabetes.
It will also compliment treatment of other feline conditions, as reducing the toxic load on the body helps to stimulate the immune system and accelerate healing.
In dogs:
-Addresses physical and emotional well being of the dog;
-Prevents and soothes sore backs and muscles before and after training or showing;
-Treats canine hip problems and joint pain;
-A useful adjunctive treatment to arthritis remedies;
-Prevention and treatment of illness or colds;
-Detoxification after anesthesia and surgery;
-Aids in the treatment of Lymes’ Disease;
-Releases toxins and boosts the immune system.
It will also compliment treatment of canine melanoma and other cancers, hives and allergies. Decreasing the toxic load on the body helps to stimulate the immune system and accelerate the healing process.
